Look af­ter your prop and your en­gine

The en­gine is light and easy to tilt up and out of the wa­ter that means the pro­peller blades are pro­tected from dam­age in the shal­lows or at the wa­ter’s edge. Its spring de­sign al­lows it to be safely locked down when you head off again.

In­built pro­tec­tion

This en­gine has an oil alert sys­tem, which will im­me­di­ately warn you if any drop in pres­sure is de­tected while au­to­mat­i­cally re­duc­ing en­gine revs to a lower and safer level.

4Front Cor­ro­sion Pro­tec­tion

This en­gine goes through a four layer coat­ing process. We first an­odise the alu­minium cas­ing with our patented ‘Dou­ble Seal’s process. Then an epoxy primer is ap­plied be­fore the shim­mer­ing sil­ver paint. For fur­ther pro­tec­tion from UV rays, we ap­ply a clear resin top­coat to fin­ish. And to be ab­solutely sure, a sac­ri­fi­cial an­ode is fit­ted and all con­nec­tors are wa­ter­proof.

Our founder, Soichiro Honda, wanted to en­sure our out­board en­gines were cleaner, qui­eter and friend­lier to the en­vi­ron­ment – so he made them 4-stroke. This made Honda pi­o­neers in ma­rine en­gine tech­nol­ogy. There­fore, as you ac­cel­er­ate away, you can have peace of mind in the fact that the clean wa­ter you are boat­ing through will be stay­ing that way.

Every Honda Ma­rine cus­tomer has the sup­port of a do­mes­tic or pro­fes­sional war­ranty, so you’re cov­ered what­ever the use.
